Join ethnoecologist Justin Wexler for one or more of this year's seasonal explorations of the Nyquist-Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary. On these walks, we explore the natural world through the lens of Northeastern native languages, history and folklore. See how the wetlands and woods awaken when winter transitions to springtime, keeping an eye open for the many obvious and less obvious lifeforms that appear at this time of year.

Check-in is at the DuBois Fort Visitor Center. The program will begin at the replica Esopus Munsee wigwam and will guide visitors up Huguenot Street, through the Nyquist-Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary.

Please keep in mind the trail is subject to the elements. Appropriate footwear is recommended.
