Midwinter Walk: The Earth Reawakening With Justin Wexler

  • Historic Huguenot Street 81 Huguenot Street New Paltz United States (map)

Winter is a time of rest. Plant life is dormant, and many animals relax or sleep in their dens. But by midwinter, nature begins to awaken. Join ethnoecologist Justin Wexler of Wild Hudson Valley on one of our seasonal walks. We will explore the outdoors and learn about the local environment and indigenous Hudson Valley life of five centuries ago.

Check-in is at the DuBois Fort Visitor Center, and the tour will start at the replica Esopus Munsee wigwam and will guide visitors through the Nyquist-Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary.

Rain date scheduled for Saturday, February 20.
