Visiting Locust Lawn

Locust Lawn is open to the public for special programs and by appointment.  Tours for groups of six or more are available May through October.

Pre-arranged group tours may be stand-alone or combined with a visit to Historic Huguenot Street.  For groups visiting the area for the day, a morning visit to Historic Huguenot Street, followed by lunch at one of the area's charming restaurants (we'll happily offer suggestions) and an afternoon visit to Locust Lawn offers an opportunity to experience the development and maturity of a Hudson Valley community from pioneering immigrants to landed gentry.  Locust Lawn is a ten-minute drive from Historic Huguenot Street and close to local wineries and pick-your-own apple orchards.

Standard group tours start at $8 per person (or $13 per person when combined with a tour at Historic Huguenot Street).  Customized tours or programs start at $20 per person.

Given the special nature of the Locust Lawn site and collection, we can also design customized programs and tours based on your particular interest.  Past programs have focused on topics such as the furnishings of largely unaltered home and the clothing collection, which features over 500 articles of clothing.

To arrange a group tour to Locust Lawn or to discuss a tailored program, please contact Jo Oliva, Special Projects Coordinator at jo@huguenotstreet.org or 845 255-1660, extension 103.
