Dates and Hours of Operation for 2013

 

We are looking forward to welcoming you at Historic Huguenot Street during our touring season. If you are planning a visit, the information below should help you. Specific information about group tours, available for 15 or more people, can also be found on our Group Tours page. Dates and Hours of Operation

Historic Huguenot Street offers special programs year-round.  The grounds of Historic Huguenot Street are open to the public 365 days a year.

November through April:  The site is closed to regular tours during these months but is still available for rentals and special programs. Please see our calendar of events for updated event information. The Visitor Center may also be open at other hours when special programs are scheduled.

The DuBois Fort Visitor Center 2013 Hours: The Fort will re-open to the public in mid-May. Please see detailed hours below:

May 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th: The Visitor Center is open from 9:30 AM-4:30 PM with guided tours departing at 10:00, 11:30, 1:30 & 3:00

June 1st through October 27th: Saturdays and Sundays the Visitor Center is open from 9:30 AM- 4:30 PM with guided tours departing at 10:00, 11:30, 1:30 & 3:00. Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays the Visitor Center is open from 10:30 AM- 4:30 PM with guided tours offered at 11:00, 1:00 & 3:00. The Visitor Center remains closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Walk-In Guided Tours for 2013

A guided tour is the only way to see and experience the interiors of our restored museum houses. Exterior walking tour maps are available for purchase at the DuBois Fort Visitor Center during open hours. Tour tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Center, where walk-in tours begin.

Blue Star Museum program for 2013

We are happy to announce that Historic Huguenot Street will be participating in the Blue Star Museum program for 2013, offering free tours for enlisted military personnel and their families between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Guided Tour $16 (approximately 90 minutes)

  • Introduction about the Huguenots, the founding of New Paltz and the preservation of the Street
  • Visit to the French Church and burying ground
  • Guided tours of two to three interpreted museum homes at Historic Huguenot Street (Deyo House, Abraham Hasbrouck House, Bevier-Elting House, Jean Hasbrouck House & the portrait gallery at LeFevre House)

Historic Huguenot Street offers a family rate ($40). There is a $1 discount off admission for seniors, students, military and AAA members. Admission for children ages 7 to 13 is $10. Children under 7 are free. Friends of Huguenot Street receive guided tours for free as part of their annually renewed membership.

Group Tours

For pre-booked groups of fifteen or more, a discounted rate of $12 per person applies. This rate remains unchanged for 2013. One tour leader per group will be admitted free of charge. More information can be found here: Group Tours

Specialized Group Tours

Specialized group tours are available by prior arrangement. Fees vary according to the scope of the tour and the number of the participants. Minimum fees apply.
