Abraham Hasbrouck House

Abraham [Daniel] Hasbrouck House

This house, built by Daniel Hasbrouck, son of Abraham Hasbrouck and his wife Maria Deyo Hasbrouck, represents a more typical type of Hudson Valley Dutch-style architecture than most of the other houses of Huguenot Street. It consists of three rooms, with the center one being the earliest, flanked by two rooms built in either one or two phases. Recent investigation has uncovered an original door and window frame in the center section which would have originally contained leaded glass window elements - an extremely rare find. It was restored with funding from the Hasbrouck Family Association, utilizing authentic paint colors, accurate roof shingles and gutters, and reproduction chimney bricks which were made on Huguenot Street.
