Signature Art EventsArt of the Street: A Walking Talk and Tour with Artist Kevin Cook Saturday, September 17th, 4pm As part of New Paltz Third Saturdays, Local artist and Huguenot Street resident Kevin Cook will lead a special tour of the site. Many know Historic Huguenot Street for its iconic stone houses, but what many don’t know is that the organization has over 6,500 items in its collections, including a diversity of artwork. Cook will talk about art found in the museum houses, which feature works by Asher Durand, DuBois Fenelon Hasbrouck and others. Free. Contributions appreciated Tour starts at the DuBois Fort Visitor Center, 81 Huguenot Street 255.1889 or 1660 | www.huguenotstreet.org Landscape painter Kevin Cook was recently named a Painting Fellow by New York Foundation for the Arts, and has subsequently been invited to serve on NYFA’s Artist’s Advisory Committee. Kevin’s work has been exhibited internationally and is currently on exhibit in galleries throughout New York State. Kevin is a guest educator at the Samuel Dorsky Museum in New Paltz.
