The Archives at Historic Huguenot Street

This1754 accounting of village election results is one of the rare documents in the Archives at Historic Huguenot Street

Historic Huguenot Street is fortunate, thanks to the forward-thinking nature of generations before us and the generosity of descendants and others interested in history, to have an excellent archival collection.  Our archives, like our library, focus on the history and genealogy of the settlers of the Hudson Valley — people from the low countries of Europe including French-speaking and Dutch families.  It also functions as a general repository for local history, regardless of ethnicity for religious persuasion. Our collections consist of family genealogies, church, cemetery and bible records, wills and deeds, census records, genealogical periodicals, county histories and publications relating to Huguenot, Walloon and Dutch ancestry.

The Archives are open by appointment for research purposes.  In addition, Historic Huguenot Street periodically opens the Archives for special programs designed to offer a glimpse into this unique collection.

For more information about the collections in the Archives and in our Library, visit Library and Archives Collections.
