Volunteer Opportunities
at Historic Huguenot Street and Locust Lawn
Consider sharing your love of the
Hudson Valley and its history and architecture by becoming
a volunteer.
- Lead visitors on tours of the historic homes.
- Interact with the guests in the Visitors Center and Museum
Shop.
- Investigate genealogy, history, and other topics in the library.
- Assist the curator with the management of our collections.
- Celebrate with us at special events such as Old New
Paltz Day.
No previous knowledge is necessary and all training is provided.
Just bring your enthusiasm and sense of humor.
Benefits of being a volunteer:
Membership
- Volunteers who complete 10 hours of service annually
are entitled to a 10% discount in the Museum Shop and
receive the HHS newsletter, On Huguenot Street.
Expand Your Mind - Learn about
the history of New Paltz and the development of American society and
culture. Share - You will have the opportunity to meet new
and interesting people and share with them your love of the Hudson
Valley.
If you have any interest in history or working with the public,
we can tailor the activities to meet your needs, abilities and
desires.
