Deyo Hall
Meeting Rooms
Deyo Hall,
located on Broadhead Avenue in New Paltz, offers two distinct
venues. A lar ge
room accommodating up to one hundred individuals for receptions,
parties, or meetings and up to eighty for sit-down dinners
or workshops is available. For small groups, there is
a more intimate space accommodating up to twenty individuals
for cocktails or meetings and up to fourteen for seating
at table. Folding chairs and eight-foot rectangular tables
are available at no extra charge. A screen for presentations
is also available free of charge. The rooms can be rented
individually, or as a pair at a slightly reduced rate.
Both can be rented year-round. For an additional fee,
the Grimm Gallery can be opened during your event so that
your guests may view the current exhibit. Please note
that food and beverages are not permitted in the Gallery.
French Church
(Crispell Memorial)
The
French Church, located on Huguenot Street in New Paltz,
is a reconstruction of the first stone church in New Paltz,
originally built in 1717/1718. This reconstructed church
was built in 1972 with funds from the Crispell Family .
The structure features high-backed wooden pews and a raised
pulpit, with a seating capacity of eighty individuals.
It is a uniquely simple and yet appealing structure, with
remarkable acoustic clarity. While we receive many inquiries
on the availability of the church for weddings, the building
is also a museum property and requires a certain amount
of care and maintenance. Therefore, we restrict wedding
ceremonies at the French Church to twelve weddings between
May and October, during the public tour season. We allow
unlimited booking from November to April, provided the
space is not already reserved. To increase the likelihood
of reserving your desired date, we request that prospective
couples contact us as much in advance of the wedding as
possible.
HHS
Grounds
Our
attractively landscaped grounds have views of the stone
houses, space for tents or pavilions, and shade from stately
trees that have sheltered Huguenot Street for over a century.
These picturesque grounds make the perfect setting for
wedding receptions, parties and large meetings. There
are two sites on the property suitable for this type of
event - the front lawn at Deyo Hall for smaller groups,
and the large lawn behind the Deyo House for groups of
up to 200. Due to a Village of New Paltz noise ordinance,
there is a cutoff time of 10:00pm for outdoor events.
A deposit
is required to hold all dates.
Special
tours of Huguenot Street are available during the season
for an additional fee with any rental.
